About the event
Ian Bocock from Incredible Education CIC will lead on this panel of speakers who will share their years of experience in supporting others to sustain financial sustainability. Topics covered will include:
- access to funding streams
- grant applications
- fund-raising activities
The panel will be followed by a Questions and Answer session as part of the event, and delegates will be invited to share their own experiences and ideas as well as connect to each other through our growing network. Additional panelists will include Gary Stott from Incredible EdibleMartyn Wilcox from Salford CVS

Ian Bocock, Director and Education Lead at Incredible Education CIC
Ian has a wealth of experience of teaching in the further education sector. He started his teaching career in 1999 where he first taught students with additional needs. His passion for using horticulture as a medium for teaching was fostered during this time.
In 2013 his outstanding work and dedication to the delivery of horticulture was recognised when he was awarded a Livery Company Prize from the Worshipful Company of Gardeners at the City & Guilds Annual Awards presented by HRH The Princess Royal at Buckingham Palace. In 2013 he founded the Incredible Edible Salford group, and in 2014 launch Incredible Education CIC. He continues to support the development of Cleavley Community Forest Garden in Salford with Incredible Education.
Gary Stott, Incredible Edible
Gary has worked in the social impact sector for 30 years. He has been the Chief executive of an homeless charity, worked on national government programmes and founded a social change consultancy working with Anchor Institutions and the private businesses. He is the trustees and chair a number of boards in the not for profit sector. He is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Community Shop CiC, the UK’s first Social Supermarket Chain. He works across the UK on issues of food and community resilience.
The Food for Life Get Togethers programme supports communities to led activities to give space, physical or virtual, for people of different ages and background to connect through good food.
The live event will be recorded for those unable to attend on the evening.
